This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect when you visit yellowbrickroadblog.com, purchase a resource, or join my email list, and how that information is used. Yellow Brick Road Music is a one-person business owned and operated by Jennifer Hibbard.
Information I Collect
When you make a purchase: your name, email address, billing address, and the details of your order. If you create an account, I also store your login information and order history so you can download your purchases again.
Payment information: payments are processed securely by Stripe/WooPayments and PayPal. Your card number goes directly to them. I never see or store your full payment details.
When you join my email list: your name and email address, along with which freebie or email series you signed up for. This is only collected when you choose to sign up.
When you contact me: the information you include in your email, such as your name, email address, and order details.
When you browse the site: basic technical information, such as your browser type, device, and the pages you visit.
How I Use Your Information
- To process your order and deliver your downloads
- To answer your questions and help with technical problems
- To send emails you’ve signed up for, such as freebies, new resources, and my newsletter
- To keep records required for tax and accounting purposes
- To prevent fraud and protect my resources from misuse
- To understand how the site is used so I can improve it
How Your Information Is Shared
I don’t sell or rent your personal information. It’s only shared with the services that help me run my business:
- Payment processors (Stripe/WooPayments and PayPal) to process your payment
- Flodesk, my email service, if you join my email list
- My website host and developer, who maintain the site where your order information is stored
I may also share information if required by law.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. My site uses cookies to keep items in your cart, keep you logged in to your account, and remember your preferences.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site, like the cart and your account, may not work properly without them.
I only add you to my email list when you sign up. Purchasing a resource doesn’t automatically add you. You can unsubscribe anytime by clicking the link at the bottom of any email.
How Long I Keep Your Information
I keep order records for as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes. Account information is kept until you ask me to delete your account. Email list information is kept until you unsubscribe.
Your Choices
You can view and update your account information anytime in My Account. To request a copy of your information or ask me to delete it, email me at theylbrickroad@yellowbrickroadblog.com. I may need to keep some order records to meet legal and tax requirements.
Children’s Privacy
My site and resources are intended for teachers and other adults. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
My site uses a secure connection (SSL) to protect your information, and all payments are handled by secure payment processors. No website can guarantee complete security, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
