This interactive lesson introduces students in grades K–8 to tempo through real-life sounds, pictures, and videos. Students hear tempo in audio examples, feel it by moving and playing along at different tempos, see it in everyday videos, and compare it with its musical opposite. A short quiz before and after the lesson shows what they learned.

    It is hard to find elements of music interactive resources/activities for Grade 7s and 8s. My classes didn’t seem to really have a grasp of the concepts after 3ish years of COVID music, so having these activities helped liven up the class so it wasn’t just me teaching slides. A little pricey but the money is worth it if it makes my classroom interactive and student directed, and helps reinforce basic music elements to students who have missed out over the past 3 years. I will be buying more of these (and have done so already).
