This interactive lesson introduces students in grades K–8 to timbre through real-life sounds, pictures, and videos. Students hear timbre in audio examples, feel it by moving and playing along, see it in everyday videos, and compare it with its musical opposite. A short quiz before and after the lesson shows what they learned.

    So much good content in this resource. My general music students are loving it. The only thing that would make it better is if it worked in google slides….so that the students could work through it independently. We ended up doing it as a whole group lesson, and I used another resource for them to take notes on the lesson digitally. The kids loved the listening examples you provided.
