This listening lesson helps students in grades 3–5 hear and play the dotted quarter and eighth note rhythm in the Andante from Joseph Bologne’s Overture to L’Amant anonyme. Students move to the steady beat, find rhythms that fall on the off-beat, follow a listening map, learn about Joseph Bologne, and create their own rhythm composition.
