Basics of Quarter and Barred Eighth Notes for Elementary Music – rhythm lesson

This interactive lesson introduces students in grades K–2 to quarter notes and barred eighth notes through real-life sounds, pictures, and videos. Students hear the rhythm in songs and chants, see it in graphic, iconic, stick, and standard notation, and echo it with body percussion, found objects, rhythm instruments, and singing.
