Composing with Rhythms: Barred Sixteenth Notes – music composition

Composing with Rhythms using Barred Sixteenths is a guided composition activity. Students will practice performing and reading rhythms via body percussion, the poison pattern game, and iconic and standard notation. Then, students will use the printable manipulative to help them compose their own rhythms using quarter notes, barred eighths, and barred sixteenths. They’ll write down their finished piece using the worksheet included.
