This was an outstanding resource that I relied on heavily when we were forced into online learning. They formed the basis of all my online music lesson in years 3-6.

Oh my goodness I would not have made it through my first marking period as a first year teacher without this bundle! The slides are all scaffolded in a really great way for students to look at and understand really easily. They were very simple to use with both Powerpoint and Google Slides too.

I purchased the entire bundle when this was on sale! I’m very happy with it. So far I have used the slide deck on beat and rhythm but I plan to use them all with 3rd and 5th due to their standards. I’ve used it with 2nd grade to reiterate the difference between beat and rhythm and I’m hoping to use the dynamics deck for 1st grade. I will be interested to see how they do with this at a distance because they are so young but this whole bundle is good for distance learning or in the classroom.

This entire bundle is fantastic for distance learning. The kids can do it on their own or as a directed lesson. I just pick out the slides that I want and create activities to go with them. They are clear, the musical examples and the sound clips are great. I am using this a lot!

I used this as whole class lessons. I did have to replace one song in a few spots in the beat slide deck so far due to cultural sensitivity. Overall, good examples for students.
Yellow Brick Road Music –
**edited to add that I replaced the song “Yankee Doodle” with Alton Adam’s “Virgin Islands March”
Hi Sandra, Thank you for your thorough and meaningful feedback. If you would, please let me know which song you had to replace. I’m extremely interested in ensuring that my examples are both culturally sensitive and that they represent a diverse population. Please email me at theylbrickroad@gmail.com. Thanks again for your valuable feedback!
